Flew from Hartford, CT, to San Francisco. Lovely weather, good for T-shirts and sunglasses! It’s so different from New England where I was wearing fleece jacket.
We drove from San Francisco airport to Sacrament about two hours. View from the car was beautiful!
コネチカットのハートフォードからサンフランシスコに飛んできた。天気がとってもよくて Tシャツとサングラスが必須な感じ。フリースを着ていたニューイングランドと対照的だ。
サンフランシスコ空港からサクラメントまで来るまで移動。途中の車から見た景色がラブリーだった。

I arrived at Hartford, CT, in the States via Dallas. The flight from Tokyo to Dallas was 10 hours, almost the same flight hours as from Tokyo to Helsinki. I am quite used to that duration of flight and didn’t feel tired very much. When a friend and I arrived at Dallas airport, we saw soldiers who just came back from Iraq… A lot of people were waiting for them at the arrival hall and welcomed their arrival. Thinking about the things happening Iraq and people dispatched there, I got a bit emotional…
ダラス経由でコネチカットのハートフォードに到着。東京からダラスまでは１０時間。東京からヘルシンキに行くのとほぼ同じ。その飛行時間にはわりと慣れているのであまり疲れを感じなかった。ダラスに到着したときイラクから帰ってきたばかりの軍隊と一緒になった。たくさんの人々が歓声を上げながら彼らを出迎えていた。今イラクで起こっていること、そこに派遣されている人々のことを考えると 感情的にならずにはいられなかった・・・

Flew back to Tokyo from sunny and warm Beijing. It’s wet and cold here. We had very sunny and warm days(20-25 degrees) a week ago or so though. Coming home, I unpacked the small suitcase and packed them into the big suitcase. I’m flying to the States this weekend…

快晴で暖かい北京から東京に戻った。東京は雨模様、そしてちょっと寒い。１週間くらい前（確か・・・）は２０-２５度くらいの暖かい日があったのに。家に戻り小さいスーツケースから荷物を取り出して、大きいスーツケースに詰め込んだ。週末からはアメリカに行く。

Last Sunday, I went to yoga class in Kamakura. My Ashtanga teacher started teaching near Hase station. Kamakura area was very busy on the sunny Sunday. I saw a small temple near the station on the way to the class. I felt I’d feel peaceful there. So, I went there after the class… It was a lovely temple and I like to be there a lot. Even though streets around the temple were busy, not many people stopped by the temple. It was pretty peaceful and flowers were lovely. 先週の日曜日は鎌倉のヨガクラスに行った。私のアシュタンガの先生が長谷駅の近くで教え始めたので。晴れた日曜日の鎌倉はものすごく混雑していた。クラスに向かう途中、駅から程近いところに小さなお寺があるのに気づいた。なんだかそこに行ったらすごく心が落ち着くのでは・・と思わずにいられなかった。そして帰り道に寄ってみた。思ったとおりにいい感じ。お寺の外の道にはたくさんの人が歩いていたけれど その小さなお寺に立ち寄る人はそれほどいなかった。ほんとに心の落ち着くお寺だったし そこに咲いていた花々にも心を奪われた。鎌倉で撮った写真はこちらのアルバムでhttp://smileyumi.typepad.com/photos/200704_kamakura_shugen_ji/index.html

The peak of Someiyoshino is over but they are still beautiful. And another cherry blossoms started blooming at Sakurashimmachi. (the last picture)
ピークはもう終わってしまったものの ソメイヨシノはまだ十分きれい。そして桜新町名物の別の種類の桜が咲き始めた・・・（最後の写真）
