  More than a year ago, I was surfing the Internet trying to find yoga retreat in Granada. I wanted to go there as I heard the Alhambra was the most beautiful palace in the world. I love yoga and holiday with yoga. So I thought it would be the best if I could find yoga retreat in Granada. I found their web page where they said they would organize yoga, writing, photography workshop, walking tour etc.. Since then I’d tried to go to Granada but couldn’t make it till two weeks ago. Though I had been looking for yoga retreat, I got more interested in the photography workshop.

Finally I went to Granada for a weekend. On the Sunday morning, my photography teacher(a professional photographer) picked me up at the hotel. We talked about my photo experience and interests, and I asked questions I’d had before in the cafe. He taught me several simple basics I should remember. Then we started walking in the lovely Granada town taking pictures. For almost three hours we walked and took pictures though we had a short break at some bar. Sun was beautifully shining and photo-shooting was absolutely fun. At the same time as taking photos, I enjoyed seeing churches, houses, scenery etc. I think the photos I took then looks more artistic than other pictures of mine. グラナダでヨガ・リトリートをやってないだろうか思ってインターネットで調べていたのはもう1年以上も前。アルハンブラは世界で一番美しい宮殿、と聞いてグラナダに行きたくてたまらなかった。ヨガ好きな私、ヨガと休暇の組み合わせができればさらにいいと思って調べていたら、ヨガや執筆や写真のワークショップや、ウォーキングツアーなどをやってくれるところを発見。それから何度かグラナダに行こうと思ったけれど、結局行けたのは2週間前。ヨガのリトリートを調べていたけれど、写真のワークショップのほうがもっとおもしろそうだな～と思った。

というわけでついにグラナダで過ごす週末。日曜日の朝、プロの写真家である先生がホテルに迎えに来てくれた。初めにカフェで私のこれまでの写真歴とか興味とかを話し、私が以前から疑問に思っていたことなどを質問。その後、グラナダの街を歩いて撮影をした。途中で休憩を入れたものの3時間くらい歩いて撮影した。お天気がとてもよくて写真を撮るのも相当楽しかった。撮影だけではなく、教会、家、景色を見るのも楽しかった。さて、このワークショップで撮った写真はいつもよりアートな感じがすると思うのだけれどどうでしょうか？http://smileyumi.typepad.com/photos/200710_granada_photo_ws/

I flew to Helsinki on Monday and will be flying back to Tokyo tomorrow. Helsinki has been cold since I arrived in, and today it snowed! It’s so different from Granada where I visited last weekend. It was sunny and warm(30degrees at day time). I bought a lovely coat at Zara in Granada and it kept me warm in Helsinki : ) (Photo: The Alhambra Palace. 月曜日にヘルシンキに到着、そして明日は東京へと飛んでいく。私が着いてからヘルシンキはとても寒くなって、今日はついに雪が降った。先週末を過ごしたグラナダとはまったく対照的な天気。グラナダはとても天気がよくて日中30度にもなった。グラナダのZaraで買ったコートが寒いヘルシンキで大活躍　:）　（写真はグラナダのアルハンブラ宮殿。グラナダの写真も早くUpできればいいと思ってます。）

10 hours from Tokyo to Helsinki, 3hrs 40 min from Helsinki to Madrid and 45 min from Madrid to Granada… It was far but worth coming here. I’m in Granda! Weather is beautiful and Arhambra was the most beautiful palace I’ve ever seen. (I took these pictures by N73 but I took many many other pictures by Canon…)

東京からヘルシンキまで10時間、ヘルシンキからマドリッドまで3時間40分、マドリッドからグラナダまで45分…遠かったけれど来てよかった。お天気がとてもよくてアルハンブラ宮殿は私が今までみた宮殿の中で一番美しかった！（写真はN73で撮ったもの。もちろんキャノンで撮った写真は数え切れない・・・）
