Since last Wednesday, we’ve had real summer weather in Helsinki area.

I have a good view from my balcony and it’s lovely to look at the sky at sun set.

私の部屋からの眺めはなかなか。特に夕暮れの空を見るのが楽しみ。

 When you live in a different county, the available food is also different. I, however, think the principle to maintain good heath is the same everywhere. It’s to eat seasonal food!

When I went to the supermarket about a week ago, I had no idea what I was going to cook with them, but I picked up the “looks seasonal” vegetable (in the picture). I remembered that carrot leaves contain a lot of vitamins and looked up the recipe in the web. Almost all web pages I found didn’t recommend to boil the leaves but fry them.

With the recommendation and my creativity, I made my original dish though I guess some other people probably had cooked it before. I boiled cauliflowers and chopped up carrots and the leaves. Then I placed cauliflowers onto the foil, put some butter (love butter!!!) and topped it with a lot of chopped arrot & leaves and salt, pepper & turmeric. I put it in the oven for some time. 

And : ) My original seasonal vegetalian dish tasted quite good! :

Talking about seasonal food, strawberries are one of them. I bought Finnish strawberreis a month ago but it wasn’t that good. But the ones I bought last week were sweet and tastey!

国が違えばスーパーで買える食べ物も違ったりする。でも健康の基本は変わらず、旬の食材を選ぶことだと思う。1週間ほど前スーパーに行ったとき、何を作るのかはまったく考えず旬だと思われる野菜をいくつか購入（上の写真）。にんじんの葉っぱにはビタミンがたくさん含まれているのを思い出したので　にんじんの葉っぱを使った料理をウェブで検索。どのページでも一様に煮るのはお勧めしないが炒めるのがいいということが書いてあった。

それを参考に、少しクリエイティブにオリジナル料理を作ってみた。といっても同じような料理を作った人は何人もいると思うけど。カリフラワーを茹でて、にんじんと葉っぱをみじん切り。カリフラワーをアルミホイルに載せてその上にバター。そこに　にんじんと葉っぱのトッピングをたっぷり、さらに塩、こしょうとターメリックで味付け。しばらくオーブンに入れてみた。

オリジナル・旬の野菜料理はけっこうおいしく出来上がった　: )

旬のものといえば、いちごもそのひとつ。フィンランド産のいちご、1ヶ月前に買ったときはいまいちだったのだが、先週買ったのは甘くておいしかった。

About ten days ago, thirteen carton boxes and the bike arrived at my flat in Espoo. They were shipped from Tokyo two months ago. I was so excited when I was looking at the unpacking! All familiar stuff from Tokyo : ) and everything arrived in safe! Yesterday, I went to Ikea and bought a book shelf, carpet and some other smaller stuff. I still need to assemble and to shop some more items but my new home is getting more and more home : ) The photo is the Swalovski crystal lilies arrived from Tokyo. I put them on the self at the window. Beautiful , aren’t they?

10日くらい前に　ダンボール13箱と自転車がエスポーの家に到着。2ヶ月前に東京から送った引越し荷物だ。引越し会社の人たちがダンボールを開けているのをみながら　とてもうれしくなった。使い慣れたもの、見慣れたものが懐かしかった。そして損傷はまったくなし。昨日はイケアでカーペットと本棚、その他細かいものを少し買った。これから組み立てなくちゃいけないし、まだまだ足りないものを買いにいかないといけないけど、新しい自分の家がだんだん出来上がってきた。写真は東京からの荷物に入れていた　スワロフスキーの白ゆりクリスタル。窓辺の棚に置いてみた。きれい！
