Budapest! (1)

Now in Budapest : ) It's beautiful and people are very kind and friendly 🙂 Even though it's cold, for me who live in Finland, this is not that cold. And it feels strange to walk on the streets which are not covered by snow. It was cloudy today and it will be rainy according to the weather forecast. But I think Budapest is beautiful even when it's cloudy and even the Duna is not blue.

I've been extremely happy since I arrived at Budapest. I had to ask directions many times as I had no idea about direction and don't understand Hungarian language. All the people who I asked for help were willing to help me and smiley. There was an old woman who asked me if I needed a help when I was looking at the map on the street on the way to Lukacs spa. Also some people who don't speak English at all helped me with gestures.

With such kind people's help, I explored the city after checking in at Hotel Mercure city center which is located on the pedestrian street. By the way, hotel staffs were also kind and friendly, oh,, and polite!

I walked on the shopping street (I saw the sign "fashion street") and ended up with the Danube river. The view from the Pest side towards the Buda side over the river was breath-taking. I took some photos to find the best spot to take photos of the Buda castle and the bridge. Later on the day, I saw the castle and the bridge lighten up. I think I will go with the tripod in some evening while I am here to take photos.

I could go to one of the most famous spas, Lukacs, which my Hungarian friend recommended to go and have massage. It wasn't easy to find the spa with the map in the darkness (I think streets are darker here than Helsinki to my surprise) but thanks to the kind people, I managed to find it. It was gorgeous spa and I felt great. And massage was really nice! I was impressed and will have another one at another spa before I fly back to Helsinki.
