I love the fact that I can travel to other European countries so easily from Helsinki! I am not only talking about distance between countries but also talking about airfare. It could be cheaper to fly between Helsinki and London, Helsinki and Munich, Helsinki and Paris, Helsinki and Budapest etc. than taking bullet train between Tokyo and Osaka in Japan. Taking full advantage of that, I travel a lot and I love it!
ヨーロッパに住んでいてよかったなと思うことのひとつ、というか一番いいなと思っていること、それは簡単に他の国に行けること。距離も近ければ、航空券もとても格安。日本からの海外旅行も、昔よりは全然お手軽、お手ごろになったと思うけれど、ヨーロッパでのお手軽、お手ごろ感とは全然比べものにならない。ヘルシンキからロンドン、パリ、ミュンヘン、ブダペスト etc. ・・・ 安いチケットを買えれば、東京から大阪に行くより安いことも多々。
Last weekend, I visited friends in Munich, Germany and went skiing in Austria. It took only 1.5 hours from Munich to Rohan which was about 50km away from Innsbruck. The mountain wasn't that big but had good snow and weather was super! Blue sky and white snow, not busy slopes, lifts and restaurants, we had a great time skiing till the lift finally stopped operation in the evening.
そんなわけで先週末も友達の住むミュンヘン。目的はオーストリアへのスキー旅行。ドイツの南に位置するミュンヘンから隣の国、オーストリアには車で簡単に出かけることができる。今回訪れたRohanというスキー場はミュンヘンからインスブルグ方面に向かって1時間半くらい。日帰りでも十分。これ以上は期待できないような快晴！雪質も上々。そしてリゾート地として特に有名でもないスキー場なのでリフトの待ち時間もなければ、レストランやカフェの混雑もなし。そんなに大きな山ではなかったのでコースの数は限られていたものの、練習には最適！リフトが止まるまで滑って、ミュンヘンの友人宅へ帰宅。隣の国まで日帰りスキー旅行。堪能しました ：）
By the way, there is a restaurant which serves great pizza! They also has tasty salad! I think it's worth visiting this mountain for that reason even if you are not a skier 😉
ちなみにこのスキー場、ピザがめちゃめちゃおいしいレストランがあります！そのお店の盛りだくさんのサラダもとてもおいしかった！そのためだけにこのスキー場を選んでもいい感じ（笑
