さて、イスタンブールでも和食のクオリティチェック。（なぜわざわざ海外で和食なのかということについては前回のパリ旅行のときにポストJapan in Parisを参照のこと。）出発前にぐぐってみたところ、あまり期待できない感じ。有名どころのホテルにある和食屋くらいしかヒットしなかった。でも 今回の旅でとても役に立った “Time Out Short List” （ガイドブック）に１件だけ載っていた和食の店、Tokyo Restaurant。 期待以上の味！っていうかとても美味！寿司セットにはいつもなかなか食べられないうなぎもデフォルト。サーモンならフィンランドが一番と思っていたのに、実はここのサーモンのほうがおいしかったし。魚の名前は全然分からなかったけど、白身の魚もおいしかった。 このお寿司のセットは、握り盛り合わせ。12巻で47トルコリラ（20€くらい)。
I didn't forget to try Japanese food in Istanbul. (If you wonder why I dare to eat Japanese food when I travel somewhere else than Japan, read my post Japan in Paris). My expectation wasn't high as Google didn't give me much interesting information for "Japanese restaurant Istanbul". But "Time Out Shortlist" had the right restaurant in the list. I had yummy Nigiri moriawas at the Tokyo Restaurant : ) It had my favorite unagi which is usually not included in the set in my experience in Europe. Salmon was much better than the ones in Finland though I had thought salmon sushi was the best in Finland. Other fish was also tasty.
（ちなみに店でえらく歓迎してくれて関係ないけど2階にあった和室も見せてくれたので写真を撮っておきました。笑）
さらに日本っぽくTokyo Restaurantのロゴ入りのパッケージに入ったおしぼり、ロゴ入りマッチ、さらにはロゴ入りマグネットももらえたり。あまり余計なものを家に持ち帰りたくない私でも思わず持ち帰ったマグネットはこんな感じで家の冷蔵庫に。
In addition to the good food, I liked their magnet, wet wipe (oshibori), and matches with the logo. I don't usually keep any free gift but I brought back the magnet and it's on my fridge door! It's cute, isn't it?
おしぼりを出してもらったときにとてもうれしかったのがバレバレだったようで、食べ終わってからもまたサービスでおしぼりをもらいました（笑
