Jyväskylä is located in central Finland. It’s in the Lakeland and a university city.

ユヴァスキュラは、フィンランドの中部、湖水地方にある街、大学のある街だ。

I chose the hotel based on the location, i.e. by the lake. The hotel had good reviews for its location though it wasn’t the only good part of the hotel. And it was located really by the lake.
ホテルを選んだのは、湖畔にあるというのが理由。そのほかは、あまり代わり映えのしないホテルだったので、湖水地方だったらやっぱり湖を楽しまないとね、という感じのチョイスだった。到着してみれば、ほんとに湖畔。

Through the window in my small room, I could see the beautiful lake and the nice university buildings on the other side of the lake. The university campus was also on the other side of the hotel (entrance side). It’s really university town, Jyväskylä is.

部屋の窓からも向こう岸の白くて印象深いユヴァスキュラ大学の建物と湖が見えた。ホテルの反対側（入口側）にもユヴァスキュラ大学のキャンパスと芝生が広がり、まさに大学の街、そして、なんとも勉学に集中できそうな静かで自然豊かな環境だった。

After 3~4 hours of car trip from Helsinki and checking in the hotel, we sat on the green grass and had dinner (Japanese lunchbox a friend cooked :))

ヘルシンキから３～４時間のドライブでホテルに到着し、チェックインを済ませたあと、友人の手作り弁当（なんと重箱）で、ピクニックディナー。

After dinner, we enjoyed walking along the lake.  In this lakeside city, it felt that times passed slowly. It’s such a relaxing place …

食後は、湖沿いにのんびりと散歩を楽しんだ。この街では、時間の流れもゆっくりしているように感じた。なんだかひたすらのんびりした場所だった・・・。

It was very comfortable to stay at Finlandia Hotel Alba (the hotel by the lake). The hotel staffs are very nice 🙂
