Finally, I am in Kustavi, in Turku archipelago. A friend and I left Kemppi, Helsinki, for Turku by bus at 7:40. At Turku bus station, we changed the bus to Kustavi. The bus driver was nice and friendly. After about 1 1/2 hours later, we got off at the bus stop in the middle of nowhere. We followed the google map though we wondered if the cafe was really near the bus stop. Eventually we found a place which looked like a handicraft center after walking 10 minutes or so.

We looked for the café which was the main purpose of this week. And it appeared in front of us. As I had to join for meeting in less than 10 miniatures at that point, I hurried to the cafe counter and spotted munkki (Finnish donuts) I had decided to eat beforehand.

After the quick phone meeting, I enjoyed the munkki with coffee. It was moist, soft and tasty. It was one of the best munkki I have ever had. I am not sure if Pyynikki in Tampere is better or this cafe is better, but they are different and both great! I think everyone should visit this cafe once in a lifetime, especially if you like munkki. Seriously!

It’s a handicraft village. Apart from the cafe and the munkki, you can find a lot of handmade ceramics, glasses and other stuff. I didn’t buy anything but it was fun to look at them, especially glasses. My friend bought lovely glasses.

After more than one-month of unusually warm weather in Finland, fortunately, temperature is not as high as previous days and pleasant wind blows today, and leaves are green and fresh in the handicraft village. We felt happy and were glad we had come all the way to Kustavi.

Leaving the handicraft village, we headed to our accommodation, Peterzens. We walked about 25 minutes feeling pretty warm and tired. We were relieved when we found the entrance to the accommodation. Now we are sitting in the cafe of Peterzens comfortably and I am writing this post. I’ll write about Peterzens as it’s unique and nice place.
